Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The first challenge the children wanted to launch is an Art Challenge. To take part children must complete a piece of art in the style of Van Gogh using any media and bring them to either Mrs Smith or one of the Arts Ambassadors by Thursday 8th December.
There are prizes for the best pieces from KS1 and KS2.
Last Friday 15th November we held a non-uniform day to raise money for Children In Need. Thanks to your donations we raised a total of £472.94.
We also received a visit from Pudsey Bear last week too!
Our Year 2's were fabulous on their first ever residential this week to Rand Farm Park. Our thanks to all the pupils (who were superb form start to finish), our staff for going and to the Rand Farm Park team who looked after us.
Please visit Mrs Herring's and Mrs Jenkins' class pages for more photo and video highlights.
The Arts Ambassadors would like to set the classes in Key Stage One and Key Stage Two an Art challenge. They would like the children to create a picture in the style of a set artist each full term. The entries will be judged and displayed and a prize will be awarded for the best one from each Key Stage. For the first term the children have selected Van Gogh. The picture can be drawn, painted, collaged, mixed media or created on a computer. The piece of work will need to be labelled with name and class. The first competition will end on Thursday 5th December and prizes will be awarded week beginning 9th December. This is a piece that is expected to be completed at home.
A huge thank you to Sonia Scott and Paula Ground, the outgoing PFA lead members, who have presented the school with a cheque for £7000.
The PFA have organised many tremendous fund raising events of the years and with Sonia's and Paula's sons now starting secondary school this year, they are departing on a high after a very successful Summer Fair.
We would like to thank them and our new PFA lead members for making this contribution to our school which will go towards improving outdoor learning, and educational equipment and resources for our pupils.
This term we’re collecting Team GB stickers with Aldi’s Kit for Schools for the chance to be one of 20 primary schools to win £20,000 to build a health legacy at our school!
From 6 September–3 November, when you spend £30 or more in any Aldi store, you’ll receive a special Team GB sticker – if our school works together to collect 300 stickers, we will automatically receive an exclusive school sports kit, in addition to entry into the £20,000 prize draw!
Please send any stickers you receive into school with your children, or bring them in yourself to add to our collection box situated at the Main Office, and we will add them to our Aldi’s Kit for Schools sticker poster which is placed just inside the entrance to the main school.
