Tuesday 19th January

English

Today you are going to be writing another poem.  Remember from yesterday how to set out your poem.  Remember to start a new line for each idea/sentence.  Use adjectives and other interesting vocabulary.  Remember your poem does not have to rhyme.

Your poem is going to be based on memories.  It can be memories of your first day at school, a special holiday/trip or time with family.  What can you remember about times that made you feel happy.  Jot down your ideas and then decide how you are going to set out your poem.  What order are you going to do it in? it is up to you and I will be looking forward to reading them.

An example of a poem and instructions to remind you how to set it out. Remember to use your ideas, You will have lots of different memories but some may be similar.
