We have places available in some year groups! Please contact us for more details.

Wednesday 20th

For your phonics session today we would like you to tune into the Ruth Miskin Phonics channel on YouTube. Here is the link:

If you are in Group A then please work on the set 2 sound videos.

If you are in Group B then please work on the Set 3 sound videos.

Please encourage your child to read the books below too! The books are labelled for each group.

Group A - Pop! (There isn't a front cover unfortunately!)

Today in English you will be identifying rhyming words. There are lots of examples in our text, 'The Smartest Giant in Town'. Can you think of any with your grown-up?

Group A - In your task today, you will have some words to look at and spell - use what you know! You will also need to draw a line to match the rhyming words. It might help you to say these words aloud.

Challenge: Can you label the pictures you have matched?

Group B - You will find the letter which the animals wrote and gave to George. However, some of the words are missing! Can you fill in the gaps? Which words rhyme?

Challenge: Can you think of any other pairs of rhyming words? These don't have to be from the story!

During today's LIVE session children will need their number lines which were sent home in their first learning pack. The children will be briefly recapping their knowledge of number bonds to 10.

Then we will be looking at subtracting numbers up to 20 using the crossing out method which they have previously looked at in school.

Please tune in to Joe Wicks' YouTube channel at 9 a.m for PE today! If this is a little tricky, please use the additional resources below. Have fun!

Please remember to log in to the new platform for PE, using the log in details in your pack. You could visit this at any time across the week to complete more PE activities.
