Maths

This is the first of the Maths lessons with something new for Year 5 this week. Hopefully you will just be able to apply all you have revised over the last 2 days to complete today's work. 

Adapted Maths

Today in Maths, we are going to be using what we alreay know to help us work out calculations that are a little bit trickier, but are closely related.

English and Adapted English

It is our second lesson on the poem The Listener today. You will be identifying vocabulary that you might not know the meaning of. Then, you will look at some strategies for working out the meaning of those words. Finally, you will practise this skill for some of the words in the poem. This is similar to the work that we did when we were working out the meaning of words using their context from War Horse.

P.E.

This week I would like you to use use your Real PE login that you received in your pack to investigate our new PE curriculum. Your PE lesson is all about balance today. I hope to talk about what you have achieved during our Teams lesson today. 

Once you have logged in, select KS2 and the activity you are doing is One Leg Balance. Begin with the yellow task, and then work through to the black (which looks rather tricky). Once you have tried these, underneath the coloured dots, you will find some personal challenges. The one I would like you to do today is Mirror Image. You'll have to find a parent or sibling to work through this with you.
