Phonics
For your phonics session today, we would like you to tune into the Ruth Miskin Phonics channel on YouTube. Here is the link:

If you are in Group A then please work on the set 2 sound videos.
If you are in Group B then please work on the Set 3 sound videos.
Please also encourage your child to read the books below. The books are labelled for each group.

Today in English you will be identifying rhyming words. There are lots of examples in our text, 'The Smartest Giant in Town'. Can you think of any with your grown-up?
Group A - In your task today, you will have some words to look at and spell - use what you know! You will also need to draw a line to match the rhyming words It might help you to say these words aloud.
Challenge: Can you label the pictures you have matched?
Group B - You will find the letter which the animals wrote and gave to George. However, some of the words are missing! Can you fill in the gaps? Which words rhyme?
Challenge: Can you think of any other pairs of rhyming words? These don't have to be from the story!
