For today's lesson, you will be comparing villages, using mapping symbols to see what kind of facilities each has.

You could use the key on the map, or alternatively use the internet to find out what the symbols mean (the Ordnance Survey website is a good place to start).

Use a copy of an Ordnance Survey map to identify two villages to compare. On the worksheet,  note down each of the symbols you can see. Use the key on the map or the internet to explore what each one means.
