Phonics
For your phonics session today we would like you to tune into the Ruth Miskin Phonics channel on You Tube
Here is the link:

If you are in Group A then work on the set 2 sound videos.
If you are in Group B then work on the Set 3 sound videos.
Today, you are going to write your story! How exciting! Please use your planning page from yesterday's live lesson to help you. Remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. Don't forget to use super adjectives and a mix of different verbs too. This will make your writing very exciting.
Please send your stories through on Seesaw and have them by your side for Monday's lesson too. It would be great to hear you read them aloud.
During today's Live session we will continue to explore numbers to 50 and looking at them in and out of order/sequence and ordering them. We will also continue to look at being able to identify one more/less than a given number within 50 and grouping them into tens and ones. We look forward to seeing you for today's lesson.
RE
This week in RE we are continuing our work on Islam and thinking about the festival of Ramadan.
Look at the powerpoint together – Ramadan. Begin with Slide 4. Discuss. Then skip to slide 8. Talk about this with your grown up. Why do you think they do these things? (e.g. – charity, giving to others).
Muslims fast to show self-control.
Ramadan lasts one month and is often called the ‘month of the Qur’an’. Can you remember what the Qur’an is?
Once you have read the information on this slide we would like you to have a go at the task which is to write a sentence to match each picture about Ramadan.
