Welcome to Ducklings Class of 2024-25

We would like to introduce the staff who work in Ducklings class. The Class Teachers are Mrs Herring (Monday - Wednesday) and then Miss Glew and Miss Sykes on Thursday and Friday. We have Miss Sykes, Mrs Dutchak and Miss Rutty, who are our Teaching Assistants.

Our school year begins on Wednesday 4th September and the school gates open at 8.40am, please ensure all children have arrived by 8.50am for the Register.

To settle children in the first week we will finish at 12.35pm after lunch, children are to be collected from their classroom door. Please be patient as we get to know Parents/Carers collecting.

From Monday 9th September the children will be in school full-time 8.40am-3.15pm. Collection at the end of the day will be from the external door which leads onto the KS1 playground (there will be a sign on the door to show you where to collect from).  Enter via the gate at the right of the school site with all the other parents/adults.

All of our information is relayed via the Seesaw app and an invitation will be given to each child during the first week of school. This is an online platform that can be accessed via a mobile phone, tablet or computer.

We use the app to post photo's, videos and examples of learning in school. We also use the app as a way of communicating with families about events and changes so it is really important for you to join so that you are equipped with all the information you need for your child.

Families have found it very supportive in communicating with their child about their time in school.

We look forward to meeting again after the Summer and please if you have any queries don't hesitate to ask.

Enjoy the rest of the summer and we can't wait to see you on Wednesday 4th September.

Mrs Herring, Miss Glew, Miss Sykes, Mrs Dutchak and Miss Rutty xx
