WEEK 4

Share the photos of our polluted oceans and reflect on how can we preserve our oceans from more harm

 

Explain that to prevent this we need to be very careful with how much rubbish we create and always make sure that it gets reused or recycled in the correct way to ensure that it does not end up in our water system and eventually in our oceans.

 

Explain that today we are going to be cleaning up the polluted ocean and sorting the rubbish into the correct bins: food waste, glass, plastic, metal.

Emphasise that plastic is the worst pollutant in our oceans.

 

Use the a tray or dish and some mini bins/containers to clean up 'your polluted ocean'. Have a look at the image above and create your own ocean to clean up. Once you have cleaned up your ocean you should only have natural components in it therefore leaving it clean and pollutant free.
