Year 4 - Mrs Scullion

Welcome to Year 4!

I hope you have all had a great summer.  The children have settled into school really well this morning, and they're off to a great start. 

I have added the timetable below - Indoor PE is on Monday and Outdoor PE is on Thursday.

Spelling homework is handed out on a Wednesday and spellings will be tested the following Wednesday.  Maths homework is handed out on a Friday and is also handed in on a Wednesday.  We also expect the children to complete 10 minutes of TT Rockstars each week and also to read at least 3 times a week and record it in their reading record books. 

I notice lots of you have already signed up to Dojo - thank you!

Please have a look at this powerpoint which explains the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC) which will take place in June 2026, and shows you ways to support your child in preparing for this statutory test.

The current test needs to be completed by your child by Saturday 18 October.  We will then check the scores and look for areas of weakness to work on.  This process will be repeated in Spring and Summer before the official test.  Please encourage your child to keep practising as much as possible!
