Times Tables Competition - Friday 7th February
UK’s leading child protection charity and Times Tables Rock Stars are teaming up for the 9th year in a row to celebrate the NSPCC’s Number Day. Have your school reach new heights with NSPCC Rocks. The online times tables competition that will boost maths confidence alongside accuracy and recall speed.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Learners will try to answer as many multiplication and division questions correctly as they can. The winning school and class will be based on the highest average number of correct answers per pupil.
RULES:
On Friday 7th February every correct answer that a student gives, in any game type, between the hours of 7:30am GMT to 7:30pm GMT each day will contribute to their class and school score.
Each class has a minimum player count of 10. If fewer than 10 in the class play in the competition, their total will be divided by 10 regardless.
There is a 60-minute limit playtime per player, per day.
The winning class will earn themselves a film afternoon with treats! Please encourage your children to join in with this, as not only could they earn their treat, it will support them with their vital multiplication and division knowledge.
These last 2 weeks, Year 3 have been starting to look at Prehistoric Britain. They created some amazing cave paintings and learned a lot about how prehistoric people lived in the Stone Age!

We record weekly results to track and monitor progress, we of course reward those that are completing the weekly tasks, thank you for your co operation.
PE Days
Our class PE days are Tuesdays and Fridays this year. PE kits can be brought in on Mondays or Tuesdays and will be sent home with the children each Friday.

Christmas is coming...
Today, the Bees class have been getting in the spirit of the season helping decorate our class tree.
Thanks to the kind donations of the families of the children in our class, our hamper is taking shape ready for the raffle! Someone is going to be very lucky on Friday!
Soup making / tasting
Today, our class have been making soup. They have been learning about which ingredients are needed, preparing them, stirring them and tasting their creations!
This has been enjoyed by all!
