Welcome to Badger Class
Throughout this next year, your child will get the pleasure to have FUN during their learning with myself (Miss Morris), Mrs Stevenson, Ms Taylor (on Monday's) and Miss Rutty. We are all looking forward to spending the year with your child, helping them flourish and shine in what they enjoy most.
If you have any questions or queries during our school year together, please feel free to speak to me at the end of the school day at collection, send me a message on Dojo or arrange a meeting through the school office.

Here are our final pieces of tie dye. We worked in groups to create these beautiful designs. We started off by folding and twisting the fabric, then twisted elastic bands around the fabric is different places (this bit was tricky!!). We then took it in turns to add our choice of dye colour and WOW – here are our results!!

Today in Maths we have been consolidating our learning from Fridays lesson : flexibly partitioning two digit numbers using part-whole models.
Example: 63 = 60 + 3 63 = 20 + 43
63 = 13 + 50 63 = 40 + 23

In Geography today, the children have started learning about the country of Poland. We started off by discussing about whether any children had visited Poland or had any family or friends live there. We found out that we have some people in our class that can speak Polish too!! The children then used an atlas to find Poland, the UK and many other countries within Europe, labelling them on their own maps.
Today the children have also started their next step of their art work which was weaving. They have practiced their weaving skills using fabric on the school fence and transferring those skills using paper - creating a repeating pattern!

Today in English we have been looking at how to create a story map of the story ‘Pumpkin Soup’ written by Helen Cooper. As a class we created an outline of the story map and then the children all had a go at creating it themselves. They all did an amazing job!

Today the children completed their first RSHE lesson of the term where we looked at aspirations for the future. They all had amazing ideas and aspirations for the future and many could share what skills are needed to achieve those professions. Also, in PE today the children have learnt a new way of playing tic-tac-toe. They all took turns in placing their bean bag and worked as a team to try and win as many games as possible! Great exploring Badgers!
