HT Welcome
Headteacher Welcome
On behalf of the children, staff, and governors, I welcome you to Hawthorn Tree Primary School.
Welcome to Hawthorn Tree Primary School.
It is my pleasure to welcome you to our school community and to share with you what makes Hawthorn Tree such a special place to learn, grow and belong.
At Hawthorn Tree, we believe that every child deserves to feel welcomed, known, included, supported and connected from the moment they walk through our doors. We are proud to be a school where relationships sit at the heart of everything we do and where every child and family is valued as an important part of our community.
Our vision is to create a truly inclusive environment where all children can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. We want every pupil to develop a strong sense of belonging, because we know that when children feel safe, valued and connected, they are able to achieve their very best.
Our curriculum has been carefully designed to inspire curiosity, develop confidence and prepare children for life in an ever-evolving world. Through our curriculum, pupils experience a deep sense of belonging, rich and meaningful learning opportunities that help them understand themselves, their community and the wider world. We place great importance on ensuring every child is Ready to Learn, develops the skills of Learning to Learn, and benefits from a wealth of Engagement, Enrichment and Experiences that bring learning to life.
We are committed to using evidence-informed approaches that support every learner to succeed. Our dedicated staff work tirelessly to understand each child as an individual, recognising their strengths, responding to their needs and helping them overcome challenges with confidence and resilience.
Our school values underpin everything we do. We strive to be R.I.C.H.E.R. every day through:
- Respect - valuing ourselves, others and our school.
- Inclusion - welcoming everyone and celebrating our differences.
- Care - looking after each other and our environment.
- Honesty - being truthful and taking responsibility for our actions.
- Empathy - understanding and supporting the feelings of others.
- Resilience - persevering when things are difficult and learning from challenges.
These values help us develop not only successful learners, but also kind, compassionate and responsible citizens who are ready to make a positive contribution to society.
We are incredibly proud of our children, our staff and our families. Together, we create a nurturing and ambitious learning community where children are encouraged to dream big, work hard, embrace opportunity and celebrate success.
Whether you are a current member of our school family or considering joining us, I hope our website gives you a glimpse into life at Hawthorn Tree Primary School. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing in the journey of helping every child grow, achieve and become R.I.C.H.E.R every day.
Kindest regards,
Mrs Sam Jessup
