Two teams and 2 individuals took part in the Year 3/4 Tri-Golf Competition on Friday 29th June. The competition was run over 2 days with 14 teams taking part. The Year 3/4 team did exceptionally well scoring 1240 points and finished in 3rd place. Many of the Year 3 team were competing against other schools for the first time. They played well to score 850 points and finished in 12th place. Two children took part in an individual competition with one scoring 141 points finishing in 1st place. The competition tests the pupils ability to chip and putt accurately over a series of games scoring points according to how accurately they perform. Putting games included Finders Keepers, Dominoes, Zone Ball and Tunnel Ball. Games which test their chipping ability were Bullseye, Grand National and Down the Middle. Drive for Show and Putt for Dough testing both skills. Pupils rotated round all of the games in their teams scoring points at each activity.
